Zebrafish Observation Diary 6

Weather: Sunny

Situation:

Surprised that the lily seeds thrown into the water a few days ago sprouted, green stems look like a hermit crab with two tentacles sticking out. The zebrafish are in great shape and the crabs (two large ones and one super small mini crab) are still alive, thank goodness.

Near noon, I unplugged the air pump because my phone was charging, and I ended up going to dinner at noon and forgot to turn on the oxygen pump for them, so I rushed to connect them to the oxygen pump in the afternoon, and was anxious to see their motionless appearance.

One of the big crabs was almost the whole thing on top of the airstone ball of the pump. After a few minutes, I moved the pump a few times and made sure the crab was still alive. They became the aquatic creature I was most worried about in the whole aquarium. I don't to care too much about the zebrafish, probably because the fish stays stable, and subconsciously I put the zebrafish in the "unprotected" area and the crabs in the "protected" area.

I was a little worried when I saw a crab cowering in the upper right corner of the tank this afternoon, so I quickly moved the pump next to it, but it seemed to move a few times with no energy, and I suspected it was dead. I was thinking it might be because it hadn't eaten and was probably starving, so I broke the crab food I bought specifically for it in half and threw it down, right next to the potentially dead crab, then I used the oxygen pump to sweep food close to the crab. The crabs didn't react, but it didn't take long for the fish to be attracted to the piece of crab food that fell from the sky.

They came around the crab food and pecked at it with their mouths, looking more like they were kissing a beautiful girl's cheek than simply eating. Another crab was in good shape and the little green fish went over and kissed it on the eye with its mouth.

Checking the aquarium around 5 pm, the crab food was moved to the edge of the aquarium by the zebrafish at some point - it was well away from the crab at this point. The oxygen pump was right next to the crab, right next to the two crabs, and now one of they was riding the other, and the bottom one I suspect was dead.
